Interlingua is a dynamic and friendly language school based in Lisburn, Northern Ireland. We offer a range of English language courses to
adults and young people. We pride ourselves in having a professional and friendly team of qualified English teachers.Our focus is on adapting quickly to individual student needs and styles of learning.
We ensure our classes are in small groups (10-15 people maximum). This allows for increased interaction between the teacher and the students. Students will receive special attention for pronounciation and everyday language use. Languages are a great skill in life and at Interlingua we help students achieve their goal of learning English and improving their linguistic skills.
Our Classes:
Classes follow a communicative approach, focusing on authentic language that students can use outside the classroom.
Students will develop their vocabulary, grammar, listening and pronounciation skills based on a preplanned themes
Give students the opportunity to see new language in context and to provide
Students study every morning (Monday to Friday) from 9:15am to 13:15pm, with a short 15 minutes break.
All levels are based on the Common European Framework for languages and all materials used correspond to this.

Our teachers
Our teaching staff are carefully selected. Our experienced and student-focused teachers make sure lessons are relevant, exciting and fun. They work to develop each student’s English language to the best of their abilities using a range of communicative classroom techniques and engaging materials suitable for the students’ age and level.
Accommodation
We use home stay and private accommodation. Our accommodation is carefully selected for comfort and safety and we regularly inspect all accommodation to ensure pleasant and comfortable stay for all our students.
City of Lisburn
Lisburn City is the second largest city in Northern Ireland and is the 2014 European City of Sport. Lisburn is only 10 minutes drive from Belfast and 30 minutes from the 2 main airports. It is easily accessible by train and bus. Lisburn City centre is a perfect combination of architectural buildings and streets dating from 18th Century together with modern buildings, making it a lively bustling modern City with a captivating history. The city of Lisburn is known for its superior shopping, outdoor activities, sporting and cultural attractions, restaurants and heritage sites. An extensive portfolio of top class events takes place throughout the year, including the Ulster Grand Prix, Northern Ireland Countryside Festival, Balmoral Show, Garden Show, Hillsborough International Oyster Festival and the Northern Ireland Festival of Racing.

At the end of your stay, you will receive an Interlingua Certificate which will show you have completed the Summer Course.
Social afternoon activities
Lisburn City offers a wealth of leisure pursuits and those seeking an active lifestyle will be spoilt for choice. Lisburn has various watersports on offer, leisure centers, horse riding, tennis, football, swimming, outdoor activities (trekking, wall climbing, archery, orienteering…). There will be also a selection of afternoon trips to key places: Stormont Parliament building, Belfast Castle and Cave Hill, the Titanic experience, W5 Interactive Science Museum. The afternoon activities are a key component of the course and will be linked to lesson topics to best maximise learners’ experience and engage them.
Excursions
Full day excursions are organised on Saturdays to places of interest in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland. In the past we have organised excursions to Dublin, Giants Causeway, Londonderry, The Mournes, The Game of Thrown Tour, The North Coast.

Northern Ireland is connected by 2 main airports: George Best City Airport and Belfast International Airport. Dublin Airport is also only 1 hour and 30 minutes from Lisburn City.
Giants Causeway
The Giant’s Causeway, renowned for its polygonal columns of layered basalt, is the only UNESCO World Heritage Site in Northern Ireland and in 2015 was awarded the UKs Best HeritageAttraction.
